From 1 till 4 June, 2017 inspectors of Department of the Border Veterinary Inspection on the Russian State Boundary and Transport of the Regional Office of FSVPS in the Republic of Tatarstan inspected 80 flights in the Kazan International Airport.
The officers had found cheese home from the Republic of Turkmenistan during the examination of hand luggage and baggage of foreign passengers. This product has been withdrawn as the Rosselkhoznadzor established a temporary restriction on imports of products of animal origin in connection with the identification of FMD on the territory of the Uzbekistan.
The product was destroyed via burning in the airport’s utilization oven under supervision of the inspectors.
Accompanying veterinary documents for exportation of 3 cats to Poland were issued.
