Control of hand luggage of passengers arriving from Tajikistan at the international airport "Kazan"
At the Kazan international airport, quarantine products (fruit) without a phytosanitary certificate were detected by the expert of the department of phytosanitary supervision and supervision of grain quality and seed control of the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration in the Republic of Tatarstan, when inspecting hand luggage and baggage of air passengers arriving from Dushanbe (Republic of Tajikistan) in an amount of 6 kg.
All the suspended quarantine products were destroyed by incineration in the airport utilization furnace under the supervision of the specialists of the Department. Recall that the basis for the destruction was the introduction from April 16, 2012 Rosselkhoznadzor temporary restrictions on the importation of plant products imported into Russia from baggage and hand luggage from passengers arriving from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan in connection with the systematic detection of quarantine in Russia Federation of objects.
The destruction of quarantine products was carried out in order to prevent the spread of quarantine facilities on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan and the country as a whole, since out of 175 potential quarantine organisms harmful to Russia 132 are absent on the territory of the country, and the drift of at least one of them threatens with serious economic and environmental consequences.
