In order to prevent African swine fever, the Department of State Veterinary Supervision of the Rosselkhoznadzor Directorate for the Republic of Tatarstan carried out 29 inspections of pig farms, slaughter and processing enterprises of pig production, 181 inspections of pork production and catering enterprises. Based on the results of the inspections, to eliminate the revealed violations, orders were issued, 157 cases on administrative violations were instituted, fines were imposed for a total of 792.5 thousand rubles.
Specialists of the Department of Phytosanitary Surveillance and Supervision of the Quality of Grain and Seed Control of the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration in the Republic of Tatarstan on the basis of a notification received from the IP Shamsutdinova VI (Kazan), the party of quarantine products - potato of food in quantity of 200 tons of the Russian origin was examined. The cargo arrived from LLC "Agrofirm" Iskra "of Nizhny Novgorod region.
Inspectors of the department of border veterinary control at the State Border of the Russian Federation and transport of the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the Republic of Tatarstan on August 10, 2018, 40 flights were inspected at the Kazan International Airport.
On August 10, 2018 the Rosselkhoznadzor held talks with the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China in the format of a teleconference in order to discuss the issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of veterinary surveillance and animal product supplies. The parties discussed at length the organizational issues of holding the 7th meeting of the Russian-Chinese Permanent Working Group on cooperation in the field of veterinary surveillance, phytosanitary control and food safety to be held in Sochi in the period from September 5 till September 8, 2018.

On August 9, 2018 the representatives of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance met with Ambassador of the Republic of Paraguay in the Russian Federation Ramon Antero Diaz Pereira in Moscow. The parties discussed the situation regarding Paraguayan establishment No. 38 FRIGORIFICOCONCEPCIONS.A. (cattle slaughter, beef cutting and storage, production of intestinal raw materials), subject to temporary restrictions in May due to suspicions of supply of Brazilian beef under the guise of Paraguayan products to Russia (beef supplies from Brazil have been banned due to use of ractopamine - muscle mass growth stimulator in animals). |
Officers of the State Veterinary Surveillance of the FSVPS in the Republic of Tatarstan conducted an unscheduled inspection of OOO ATAK which is located at 17, B,SHAHIDI str., Kazan, the Republic of Tatarstan.
Expired products were detected during the inspection.
On this fact the protocol on administrative offence was drawn up under Part 1 of Article 14.43 of the Administrative Code of RF.
Specialists of the Department of Phytosanitary, Grain and Seed Quality Surveillance of the Regional Office of the FSVPS in the Republic of Tatarstan examined 1,719 pieces of potted plants of import origin arrived from OOO JMP FLOWERS RUS (Moscow) after receiving notice from OOO IKEA DOM (Kazan).
The inspectors selected probes during the examination and sent them to the FSFI "Tatar Interregional Veterinary Laboratory" to study the presence of quarantined objects in the potted plants.
Officers of the Department of Phytosanitary, Grain and Seed Quality Surveillance of the Regional Office of FSVPS in the Republic of Tatarstan found 15.7 kg of fruit prohibited for importation during the examination of hand luggage and baggage of passengers arrived from Samarkand (Uzbekistan) at the Kazan International Airport.
All the production under quarantine was destroyed via burning in the airport’s utilization oven under supervision of the officers.
It should be noted the production is destroyed as from April 16, 2012 the Rosselkhoznadzor imposed temporary restriction at the import into Russia of phytogenous production transported by hand luggage and baggage of passengers arriving from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, due to the systematic detection in it of quarantine objects for the Russian Federation.
For the purpose of discussing the problematic issues arising during exports of Russian grain to the Vietnamese market, including the notifications of the Vietnamese side to the Rosselkhoznadzor about the detection of objects quarantined for Vietnam in consignments of Russian wheat, from July 30 to August 1, 2018 the Rosselkhoznadzor delegation will come on a working visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
