Specialists of the Department of Phytosanitary, Grain and Seed Quality Surveillance of the Regional Office of the FSVPS in the Republic of Tatarstan examined the seeds of vegetable and flower crops of Russian origin. “GAZON SITY AGRO” OOO (Moscow region) is the consignor of the production.
This was done in response to a notification from OOO MAXIDOM (Kazan).
On May 22, 2018 the 23rd meeting of the Working Group on Trade and Economic Cooperation of the Russian-Indian Intergovernmental Commission took place in Moscow under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation A. Gruzdev and Deputy Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of India R. Teaotia. The Rosselkhoznadzor was represented by Assistant to the Head Vasiliy Lavrovsky at the meeting.
On May 21, 2018 a meeting between Konstantin Savenkov, Deputy Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor, and Emina Mlakara, interim Director of the Serbian Veterinary Directorate was held on the margins of the 86th OIE General Session. The meeting was devoted to topical issues of cooperation including inspection of Serbian establishments for their compliance with the RF and EAEU requirements.
Negotiations between the Rosselkhoznadzor and the delegation of the Arab Republic of Egypt were held on May 21, 2018 under the chairmanship of Deputy Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Yuliya Shvabauskene. The Egyptian side was represented by Head of Central Plant Quarantine Department of the Ministry of Agriculture Ahmed El-Attar. In addition, the Egyptian delegation included specialists of the Embassy of Egypt in Russia and the Egyptian-Russian Business Council. A representative of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation also attended the meeting.
On May 16, 2018 a meeting of Russian experts with the delegation of the Economic Service of the French Embassy in Russia on the functioning of the Federal State Information System (Argus-Fito) and the possibilities for interaction with the French certification system "Expadon2" and the European system TRACES was held on the grounds of the FGBI "VNIIKR". TRACES is an integrated computerized system used for veterinary needs and established in accordance with Decision 2003/24/EC; it is a web-based veterinary certification tool used by the European Union to control import and export of live animals and products of animal origin within and outside the EU.
The Rosselkhoznadzor negotiations with the National Service of Chile of Fisheries and Aquaculture were held via teleconference on May 16, 2018. The parties discussed issues related to the transfer of the Chilean system of electronic certification of fish products to a new platform, access to which will be provided to the Rosselkhoznadzor for study and testing in order to avoid problems of integration with the Russian FGIS MERCURIUS.
On May 12, 2018 the Conference of the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on cooperation in the field of joint prevention, control and monitoring of transboundary epizootic diseases was held in Xi’an (China). It was organized by the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the People’s Government of Shaanxi Province.
The plenary meeting of the Russian-Ecuadorian Intergovernmental Commission (IGC)on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held on May 15, 2018 in Moscow. Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert has been the co-chairman of the IGC for six years already. The key goal of the event is to strengthen the strategic partnership between Russia and Ecuador. Discussion of the main issues of cooperation and the adoption of appropriate solutions allow not only to increase the turnover of Russian exports, but also to implement important long-term projects, to identify mechanisms for resolving crisis situations.
On May 9-10, 2018 the Rosselkhoznadzor representatives took part in the XXXV largest international exhibition of pet products "Interzoo-2018" in Nuremberg, Germany.
Russian and foreign participants in foreign economic activities were informed about the requirements of the Regulation on the uniform procedure for joint inspections of facilities and sampling of goods (products) subject to veterinary control (surveillance) approved by Decision No. 94 of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission of October 9, 2014.
Within the framework of the meeting between RF Deputy Minister of Agriculture Evgeny Gromyko and Vice Minister of Japanese MAFF Hiromichi Matsushima on May 10 – 11, 2018 in Tokyo (Japan), devoted to the preparation to the Russian-Japanese meeting on the highest level in Saint Petersburg, talks between the representatives of Rosselkhoznadzor and MAFF Food Safety and Consumer Affairs Bureau were held. The Rosselkhoznadzor was presented by Assistant to the Head Vasily Lavrovsky, Head of the Directorate for Phytosanitary Surveillance and Seed Control Irina Andreyevskaya, Deputy Head of the Directorate for International Cooperation and Veterinary Control of Export/Import and Transportation Darina Isakova, specialists from the subordinate FGBIs and the Japanese side was presented by Chief Veterinary Officer Norio Kumagai, Director of Plant Protection Division Kazuhiko Shimada, Director of Fisheries Processing and Marketing Division Takaaki Sakamoto and accompanying persons. In the course of the meeting, the parties discussed issues of mutual access of agricultural products to the markets of both countries, and the relevant protocol was signed based on the results of the meeting.
