Specialists of the Department of Phytosanitary, Grain and Seed Quality Surveillance of the Regional Office of the FSVPS in the Republic of Tatarstan examined 6,000 PCs (15 boxes) of fresh cut roses arrived from Uzbekistan at the international airport "Kazan".
Inspectors selected probes during the examination and sent them to the FSFI "Tatar Interregional Veterinary Laboratory" which determines the presence of quarantined objects among the regulated products.
Within the framework of the implementation of activities aimed at agro-industrial product export development the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance arranges foreign trainings in order to get knowledge of the European food legislation.
In the period from October 24 till October 31, 2017 within the preparation for the 21-st meeting of the Russian-Chinese Commission on Preparation of Regular Meetings between the Heads of the Russian and Chinese Governments the visit of the Rosselkhoznadzor delegation to the People’s Republic of China took place. The Rosselkhoznadzor delegation was headed by Deputy Head K.A. Savenkov.
On October 31, 2017 specialists of the Border Veterinary Inspection on the Russian State Boundary and Transport of the Regional Office of the FSVPS in the Republic of Tatarstan inspected regulated products and issued accompanying documents for:
- 6 batches (404.4 t) of sunflower meal sent to Latvia. AO KMEZ is the consignor of the production.
- 1 batch (16.1 t) of mayonnaise sent to Azerbaijan. AO Nefis-Bioproduct is the consignor of the production.
On November 1, 2017 the Protocols on phytosanitary requirements for wheat (to replace a similar Protocol of December 17, 2015) as well as buckwheat, oats, sunflower and oil flax seeds exported from Russia to China were signed with the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China (AQSIQ) in Beijing within the framework of the 22nd Regular Meeting of the Heads of the Governments of Russia and China.
On October 31, 2017 specialists of the Border Veterinary Inspection on the Russian State Boundary and Transport of the Regional Office of the FSVPS in the Republic of Tatarstan inspected regulated products and issued accompanying documents for:

Regional Office of the FSVPS in the Republic of Tatarstan together with traffic police examined vehicle transporting 1605 kg of meat of bovine animals from the village Shigirdan of the Chuvash Republic to the city of Kazan in the Republic of Tatarstan while conducting supervisory activities on public roads.
No violations were found during the examination. Animal products were being transported with the necessary accompanying documents, under appropriate temperature and in compliance with sanitary regulations.
On October 25, 2017 officers of Department of the Border Veterinary Inspection on the Russian State Boundary and Transport of the Regional Office of FSVPS in the Republic of Tatarstan inspected 16 flights in the Kazan International Airport.
The officers found 2 kg of mutton from Uzbekistan during the examination of hand luggage and baggage of foreign passengers. The product was confiscated as the Rosselkhoznadzor had established a temporary restriction on imports of products of animal origin in connection with the identification of FMD on the territory of Uzbekistan. The confiscated product was destroyed via burning in the airport’s utilization oven under supervision of the officers.
On October 24, 2017 the meeting between the Co-Chairmen of the Russian-Iraqi Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq Mr. Ibrahim al-Jaafari and Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitriy Rogozin took place in Moscow.
Officers of the department of State Veterinary Surveillance of the Regional Office of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance in the Republic of Tatarstan discovered the illegal transport of grain.
A vehicle carrying 2 tons of corn fodder without veterinary accompanying forms was inspected on veterinary post of the road October-Urussu. The corn fodder was being transported from Bashkortostan to Tatarstan. Such transportation violated the Оrder of the Ministry of Agriculture of RF as of December, 27, 2016 No.589 and Law of RF No.4979-1 "On Veterinary Medicine".
